I was born and raised in Spain, and I started acting at a dramatic arts conservatory when I was seven. Storytelling became my way of making sense of (and messing with) the world. I studied a triple major in North Carolina (Film Production, African-American Diaspora Studies & Global Cultures) and later earned an MFA in Film Directing at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Today, I write and direct films that explore identity and the resilience of immigrant women—those who keep going, even when the world insists they shouldn’t. I’m drawn to stories rooted in social tension, those that are uncomfortable to deal with. I often work in both Spanish and English because, like me, my stories live between two languages and two cultures.  I’m not chasing neat resolutions; I just hope something I create finds the person who needs it most.

​Nací y crecí en España, y empecé a estudiar interpretación en un conservatorio de arte dramático cuando tenía siete años. Desde entonces, contar historias se volvió mi forma de entender (y desordenar) el mundo. Estudié una triple carrera en Carolina del Norte (Producción Cinematográfica, Filología de la Diáspora Afroamericana y Culturas Globales) y más tarde hice un máster en Dirección de Cine en Los Ángeles, en LMU. Hoy escribo y dirijo películas sobre mujeres que no se rinden, aunque todo a su alrededor les diga que deberían hacerlo. Me interesa lo social, lo incómodo, lo que se esconde detrás del silencio. Suelo trabajar en español e inglés porque, como yo, mis historias existen entre dos idiomas y dos culturas. No busco respuestas perfectas—solo que algo de lo que hago le llegue a alguien que lo necesita.
